Westword’s fusion of cannabis-inspired fashion, education and wellness Thursday, January 30, the McNichols Building, 144 West Colfax Avenue
DENVER, CO (November 19, 2019) – Westword was the first publication in the country to hire a marijuana critic, and now it’s announcing another first: High Style.
High Style will fuse cannabis-inspired fashion, education and wellness into one amazing evening of interactive programming. The three floors of the McNichols Building in Civic Center Park will be filled with fashion shows, style presentations, panels and an open marketplace where the canna-curious can interact with high-end hemp and cannabis brands.
The evening’s activities include a CBD cooking demonstration by Robyn Griggs Lawrence, as well as a panel on “Cannabis Trends in Fashion, Beauty & Wellness” with Jane West, one of Colorado’s leading cannabis entrepreneurs, and Kristi Blustein of KHUS+KHUS Modern Herbal Fusion. There will be two fashion shows: The first will showcase designer Korto Momolu’s Women Grow collection, a line featured at New York Fashion Week in collaboration with Women Grow, the largest network of women leading the cannabis industry; the second will highlight the sustainably-minded winter line of Boulder-based Pact, which will be paired with handmade jewelry from the High Society Collection, created by studio artist Erin Colvin with a subtle cannabis theme.
While no THC cannabis consumption will be allowed on site, there will be CBD samples from a variety of purveyors, passed hors d’oeuvres and drink sampling.
There will be two levels of tickets: general admission and VIP, which includes special seating at the two fashion shows, an exclusive gift bag with offerings from sponsors, coat check and access to the main-level VIP lounge throughout the night.
High Style runs from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on January 30 (VIP admitted at 6 p.m.). This event is strictly 21+. Presale begins Thursday, November 7, 2019, at westwordhighstyle.com.
