U.S. Navy Veteran and South Central Los Angeles Native looks to unseat Maxine Waters in Congress.

July 10, 2019 – After announcing his candidacy at the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C., Republican Congressional Candidate Joe Collins turns his sights on his plan’s to rebuild the 43rd District.

He says, “My mother moved my sisters and I out of California due to the increase in gang violence in 2000, after joining the U.S. Navy in 2004 and coming back home to South Central L.A. the end of 2017, not much has changed.”

Joe Collins has a five-step plan to get the 43rd district back on track. This plan is called the “Forward, Action and Transition plan.” GOP Candidate Joe Collins, states “Not to take away from the few accomplishments that, “Aunty Maxine” has made throughout her 30 years in office, but our people deserve better, our communities are still poverty-stricken, the homeless population is higher than ever and we need quality jobs.” Joe Collins’s plan to rebuild the district are to work with developers to rebuild the infrastructure to support the expansion of housing and new business growth, work with companies to bring quality jobs back to the district, overhaul the education system to ensure the students of the district are receiving quality education, rebuild the relationship between law enforcement and the community and create training platforms to teach the people in the district how to invest and benefit from our strong economy. He states “there is so much work to be done, but with the support of the community we can make a change.”
