DENVER, Colo., February 27, 2019 – Mount Saint Vincent, a nonprofit treatment and service provider for children facing severe emotional or behavioral challenges due to trauma, mental illness, abuse, or neglect, announced it will host an informative and inspiring fundraising luncheon. The event is slated for Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the PPA Event Center, located at 2105 Decatur St., Denver, CO 80211.
The first segment of the “Take a Breath” program will feature guest speaker Sue Kenfield, M.A., founder and CEO of See It Thrive™. Kenfield is a national speaker and consultant who will discuss how people can harness their personal power in order to positively shape the trajectory of their lives. In the second segment, Kenfield will be joined by Ember Beamon-Guerra, a child trauma survivor and former Mount Saint Vincent resident; and moderator Cindy Liverance, Mount Saint Vincent’s Director of Development. Through a relaxed, conversational format, the speakers will discuss ways for people to manage stress, control the bombardment of technology demands, and develop lasting friendships to add context and meaning to their lives.
“In today’s hectic and fast-paced world, it’s important that we take time to focus on our own health, wellbeing, and personal fulfillment,” said Mount Saint Vincent Director of Development Cindy Liverance. “We hope our guests will gain insight on how to live lives of meaning and purpose as well as feel moved to help children suffering from the effects of abuse and neglect.”
All proceeds from the event will benefit children receiving services from Mount Saint Vincent. Individual luncheon tickets are $45; corporate sponsorships start at $500. Visit MSVhome.org/breath for details.
