Boulder, Colo., April 22, 2019 – If bluebells and bicyclists have returned for spring along Colorado’s Front Range, can BEER be far behind?
On May 17, KGNU will partner with Zuni Street Brewing for a spring ‘Brew-Raiser’ – featuring a specialty beer available to all those attending. KGNU turned 40 in 2018, and this encore celebration is a chance to toast your community radio station while sipping suds and enjoying a “vinyl-only” listening experience, with DJs DeepRawk, Erin Stereo, and Old Man G.G spinning tunes from 1978.
Join listener-members, volunteers and KGNU staff from 7 p.m. to Midnight on Friday, May 17 at the Zuni Street Brewing Company, 2355 W. 29th Ave., Denver as we tap the keg of kindness for a ‘Brew-Raiser’ to launch the next era of KGNU radio!

In 2019, KGNU will embark on a capital campaign to raise $1.25M, with an equal amount to be matched by the City of Boulder. The matching grant is part of Boulder’s Community, Culture and Safety Tax and will allow KGNU to expand and upgrade its Boulder studio to create a regional media center that will serve an even broader demographic.
At KGNU, a small staff working with more than 300 volunteers produce, host, report, DJ, administer and govern the station, broadcasting 18-20 hours of locally produced programming each day. Keep our mission alive for another 40 years by donating today!
