Glen Burnie, MD. (October 25, 2017) — Holmatro sets up camp in Northglenn, CO. on October 27th and 28th to offer emergency extrication training to local First Responders. Unique in nature, Holmatro’s Rescue Experience provides a hands-on opportunity for Firefighters to learn extrication techniques for late model vehicles.

The training consists of two morning classroom sessions followed by a rotation through four separate scenarios:

  • RIT (Rapid Intervention Team)
  • Car vs Semi (Side Underrun)
  • Rapid vs. Controlled Release
  • Progressive Lifting/Crush Injury Syndrome (CIS)

Classes will be split into four groups to allow everyone hands-on use of the tools as they cycle through each scenario.

Special guest speaker Dr. Andrew Stevens, Director of the Road to Indy Racing Series, will discuss Medical Trauma Response to First
Responders. Dr. Stevens is academic faculty at IU Health-Methodist Hospital, Deputy Medical Director for Indianapolis Emergency Medical Service, Indianapolis Fire Department and Wayne Township Fire Department.

The people behind Holmatro Rescue Experience are industry professionals. The instructors are well trained and experienced. In addition, separate qualified Holmatro staff will be on-site to monitor and ensure everyone’s safety.
