Former Mayors Webb, Hickenlooper and Vidal unified in support of Mayor Michael B. Hancock’s leadership and ability to keep Denver on the right track.
WHAT: Denver’s former mayors joining together in support of Mayor Hancock’s re-election.
WHO: Mayor Hancock and former Mayors Wellington Webb and John Hickenlooper. Statement from former Mayor Guillermo (Bill) Vidal to be read.
WHEN: Tuesday, May 14 at 9:30 AM
WHERE: Civic Center Park, west side of the park along Bannock St., between Colfax Ave. and 14th Ave.
WHY: Denver’s past three mayors have each played a role in getting Denver to where it is today, and they recognize that Mayor Hancock has taken on their work and elevated the city to be one of the best cities in the country to live, find meaningful and good paying employment, and raise a family. Denver’s former mayors stand with Mayor Hancock because they know we need to keep Denver’s progress going, not roll it back.
Mayor Hancock is excited to continue making his case to the voters of Denver. He’s delivering a more equitable, welcoming, modern and progressive city by improving our parks, protecting our climate, fighting for the civil rights and social justice of all people, and working to ensure everyone has a place in the future of Denver.
